Here’s how it works:
- When a player is hit, the brain moves within the skull.
- After the initial hit, the brain bounces back and may lead to a concussion.
- Decelerating the brain after initial impact is essential to protecting players. And current equipment, like helmets, don’t address that.
- Our field testers claimed their burner/stingers were eliminated completely when using our collar.
Kato Collar was tested at Chesapeake Labs in Belcamp, Maryland, where they perform impact tests on a variety of sports and military products. The biomechanical testing on the collar was done in the same manner that helmets are tested.
